Success Stories: Meet Joel Arias

In 2017, Joel joined Citizens, drawn by the bank’s corporate culture and commitment to volunteerism in the local community. As a Business Support Manager II in the Contact Center Operations & Support department, he has earned the respect of his colleagues for his valuable contributions to work. Joel’s passion for volunteering has earned him recognition within the company. 

In 2019, he received the Citizens Community Ambassador Spotlight Award for his volunteer work, which involved delivering financial literacy education to youth and adults throughout the state. And in 2021, Joel was honored with the Citizens Chairman CREDO Award for his efforts in mobilizing the bank’s Customer Contact Centers for remote work during the COVID crisis.

The mission of Bank Forward is to empower individuals who may have felt that a career in banking was out of reach.
